She roared her baby out like a wild animal

I’ve witnessed women birth, in the dark, with candlelight, surrounded by silence so textured that their own expression could take center stage.

I’ve seen women look up at me as they roar their babies out of their bodies, their pupils wide like black smoke, showing me what is buried deep inside all of us.

I’ve felt what it’s like to be in the room with a woman whose voice, scent, body, and presence takes up more and more and more space … almost boundaryless inside her birthing cave, as she allows the baby’s soul to emerge into her from wherever it needs to come from, allows her strange passenger through and out of her insides.

This is how I know:

We are wild. We are power. We are shapeshifters. We are portals of life and death and everything in between.

The truth is, we’ve lost so many parts of ourselves.

We’ve lost our primal nature, we’ve lost our wild knowing.

We’ve forgotten how to stare the void in the face unflinchingly, and take a running leap into her.

We’ve forgotten trust and surrender and receivership, out of necessity.

We’ve lived lives so full of distortion that we are losing our fertility, losing our power, losing our ability to feel pleasure, and escaping into a virtual reality that keeps us spiraling down into more and more numbness.

And…

We are being invited, through the forgetting… how to remember.

How to awaken those lost parts again, how to love and accept all the out-of-control bits and pieces that have been shamed or broken, shoved to the far corners of our beingness.

Let’s remember, together.

This is a call to join in community and evolve ourselves out of the stuckness, the numbness, the anxiety, the overwhelm.

Because as we remember, together, we become the lighthouses.

We regain our power.

And we can make real change in our lives and in the lives of everyone around us.

Free online workshop, June 24.

Liberate Yourself.

Let's take up space again, beloved. Let's get out of the spiral and back into center.
