Embodied Vitality
Taoist Wisdom + Practice For Masculine Power and Wholeness
These practices support the release of stagnation in the lower dantian (low belly area) specifically, so your body can return to greater strength, presence, and inner coherence.
May 23, 2:00-5:00pm
Casa Pacifico, Nosara
This retreat is designed for men, limited to 12 spots, special rate for Costa Ricans.
Come Home To Your Body.
In Taoist traditions, the lower dantian, located in the low belly, is considered the energetic root of the body.
It’s associated with
Vitality
Groundedness
Instinct
Sexual essence (Jing)
Embodied presence
Stability
Rooted power
When we cultivate deeper awareness and relationship with this center, we can experience:
Calmness under pressure
Internal steadiness
Embodied strength
Emotional regulation
Vitality and endurance
Grounded masculine presence
Why Lower Dantian Clearing & Connection?
Many men become disconnected from this part of themselves, the seat of their power. You can notice this in your own body physically:
Holding the belly tight
Suppressing emotion
Overriding instinct
Staying mentally “on”
Disconnecting from sensation
Carrying pressure from life, without spaces to truly release
Over time, this can create patterns of contraction and stagnation in the body and nervous system:
Chronic stress or hypervigilance
Emotional numbness
Irritability or suppressed anger
Compulsive sexuality or disconnection during intimacy
Exhaustion
Difficulty relaxing deeply
Feeling disconnected from purpose or inner clarity
Inability to fully feel or trust yourself
Living mostly “in the mind”
Sexual issues such as ED/PE
Urinary issues
When we release that stagnation from this space using Taoist acupressure, men can experience:
Deeper relaxation and nervous system regulation
Increased vitality and access to more of your energy
Greater groundedness and internal coherence
Emotional release and renewed capacity to feel
Increased circulation in the low belly, digestion, pelvic floor
Greater connection to instinct
A quieter mind and less internal pressure
Enhanced sexual vitality and sensitivity
Renewed clarity, purpose, and connection to self
Feeling more open, alive, and at home in your body
What is released here is not only tension and stagnation, but everything that has kept you separated from your own rooted power.
What We’ll Practice Together:
This is a guided and contained experience. During our time together we will explore:
A powerful and trauma-informed Taoist lower dantian healing + clearing practice (similar to acupressure)
A guided embodiment movement experience (led by a male special guest, TBA!) to begin re-circulating and re-containing the energy that you’ve mobilized in the release practice
Group circling and witnessing, so we can all share what was experienced, creating deeper connection to each other and the journey of being men
Tea, cacao, and nourishing snacks
Integration to bring this state into everyday life
You’ll leave this mini-retreat with…
A body that feels more relaxed, grounded, and at ease from the inside out
A greater connection to your center
A quieter mind and more space between your thoughts
Renewed access to your natural vitality, drive, and life force
Greater trust in your body’s signals, instincts, and strength
A felt experience of being supported, witnessed, and strengthened in community with other men
If you are a facilitator, you’ll be able to utilize these same practices with your clients to help more men in their journeys of embodiment, release, healing, and remembrance
Why This Work Matters Now:
We are being asked to bring/create something new in our lives. New ways of relating, creating, leading, and living.
To create anything, whether that’s an idea, a business, a boundary, a family, a new season of Self, we need both non-performative expression + a certain level of receivership.
We need:
Containment - to hold our own energy and aliveness
Discernment - to know what is ours
Surrender - to allow life, intelligence, direction, creativity, and intuition to move through us
Lower dantian healing helps us practice all three!
When you tend the soil of your body, what grows from you feels aligned and alive.
This is how we re-wild ourselves, too… not by pushing harder and seeking external truths, but by reconnecting more deeply to the source of power, wisdom, groundedness, and instinct that has always been here, inside us.
